United midfielder heading for exit door

Anderson is set to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window after struggling to hold down a place on the squad, reports The Daily Mail.
The Brazilian has failed to fulfill the high expectations that United had of him when they snatched him from Porto for £17million in 2007.
Consistency
He’s put in a few outstanding performances, but lacks consistency, and has fallen behind Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick and Ryan Giggs in the United pecking order.
He’s scored one Premier League goal this season and has only made 12 league appearances. He also scored in a Capital One Cup game against Newcastle.
Because of this, The Mirror suggests that he will be heading back to Portugal in the summer.
Not alone
Aside from Anderson, other United players could also be set to leave the club in the summer. Paul Scholes is set to retire for good at the end of the season, and Javier Hernandez may depart, as he wants to start more games.
Alexander Buttner and Anders Lindegaard will also be evaluated at the end of the season, while Nani could also be sold, with his contract set to expire in 2014.
