Spurs ace keeping silent over possible move
Tottenham manager, Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that star winger Gareth Bale is remaining silent in a bid to try and force a move away from the club, according to The Mirror.
Recently, the Welshman has stopped talking to any fellow team-mates at the club which has made it very difficult for anyone to still believe he we remain a Tottenham man.
Andre Villas-Boas spoke to the newspaper and here’s what he had to say:
“His mental state nobody knows, because the player doesn’t speak. The only thing that we are able to see is the player arriving in and out of the training ground. It’s fine.”
Bale has already been ruled out of Tottenham’s first three games of the season against Crystal Palace, Swansea City and London rivals Arsenal which will leave him with no other distractions apart from this potential transfer.
“Obviously he is very far off regarding his fitness compared to the others. So it will take some time to bring him back to the level that the others are after six weeks. But the player is a super athlete” he added.
Even though Bale himself seems to be doing everything he can to leave White Hart Lane, chairman Daniel Levy will undoubtedly hold firm.
“We’ve been very, very clear with everybody regarding the player and our willingness to hold onto him. But obviously in football anything can happen in the end” continued Villas-Boas.
“However, this is a player we cherish a lot and who has helped us progress. Ideally we want to continue with him.
“We are aware that Real Madrid are interested. But it doesn’t mean that we are willing to negotiate about him.”
So with big money to be offered in the coming days, will Gareth Bale finally move to Real Madrid with only days to go in this Summer’s transfer window?
