Serie A side complete signing of Chelsea defender
Inter have completed a deal for Chelsea full back Wallace Oliveira dos Santos on a season long loan.
The Serie A outfit revealed through their official website that the 19 year had secured a switch, writing:
“FC Internazionale welcomes Wallace Oliviera dos Santos to the club. The paperwork on the Brazilian defender’s loan move to Inter from Chelsea has been completed and the documents submitted to the Lega Serie A.”
The highly rated right back began his career at Fluminese in 2011, where he played for two years.
He made his switch to the Premier League in December of last year when Chelsea bought him in a deal which allowed the Brazilian to stay with Fluminese until the end of the season.
espnfc.com claimed that the defender was a primary target for the Italian side.
The website has also claimed that the player’s agent as said that his client was “delighted” with the move.
He said: “Wallace is truly delighted that everything has gone through.
“He’s itching to play and now cannot wait to pull on his new shirt as soon as possible.”
The move will be beneficial to The Blues as they were unable to get a work permit for the player due to his lack of appearances.
The defender played his first game in a Chelsea shirt during a pre-season friendly match versus Singha All Stars in July.
Wallace has also played for his country at under 17 level, winning the South American Championship in 2011.
