Everton boss targeted by Germans

Long-standing Everton manager David Moyes could be on his way to Germany, as giants Schalke look for a new manager, according to The Daily Mail.
Current manager Jens Keller is on his way out of the Bundesliga side at the end of the season as his temporary six-month contract comes to an end.
Admiration
And Toffees boss Moyes has emerged as favourite to take over at the club after admitting his admiration for German football.
Moyes is out of contract at the Premier League side at the end of the season and is yet to agree a new deal.
He will be a highly-sought manager for a number of clubs if he becomes available, boasting an impressive record during his 11-year reign at Goodison Park.
Set back
But he will face tough competition for the role, as Eintracht Frankfurt boss Armin Veh and former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo are also in the running, according to the newspaper.
Both speak German, which could put the Scot at a disadvantage and may prompt him to learn the language fast.
The Daily Mail reports that a source has said: “Ideally, they want a coach who can speak German.
“That is increasingly the way among Bundesliga clubs, and, if Moyes wants the job, he may have to follow Pep Guardiola’s lead and learn the language in a hurry.”
But Moyes currently remains Everton boss, and will be concentrating on piling the pressure on the Premier League big guns and pushing for a top four finish come the end of the season.
