Palace complete two more signings
Crystal Palace have completed two more signings as they look to strengthen their chances of staying in the Premier League.
The south-London club have done deals for Jimmy Kebe, from Reading, and Huddersfield full-back Jack Hunt.
Kebe joins on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee, after having both his and Hunt’s moves confirmed by boss Ian Holloway yesterday, as reported by BBC Sport.
Kebe has not played for Reading since March and seemingly refused to play during their 6-0 defeat against Peterborough.
This forced through a move to London where Holloway is trying to sign at least three more players before tomorrow night.
“It’s a big move for me,” said Kebe, as reported by the broadcaster. “I didn’t know if I was going to be able to move in this transfer window but getting back to the Premier League was my main target. I’m very excited about it.
“I talked to the manager and you can see how excited he is and I’m ready for the challenge.”
The former Huddersfield man Hunt has played twice this season but left on Friday for talks with the Eagles.
After coming through the academy he made 104 appearances for the club.
After these deals were confirmed Palace took their number of signings this summer to 11, which certainly shows Holloway is building strength and depth into his squad.
