Midfielder puts Chelsea and United on alert
Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira, according to reports in France, has been offered by the Spanish giants to the Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain, writes The Express.
The initial rumours were leaked by Radio Mercato who also said the PSG are now ready to make a bid after being approached.
The 26-year-old is apparently increasingly unsure of his first team security under new manager Carlo Ancelotti. Especially with two new arrivals this summer in Isco and Asier Illarramendi, Ancelotti is seemingly finding replacements for the German.
A long term worry for Khedira would be that if he doesn’t get a regular position in Real Madrid’s team, then he will have limited opportunity to impress and therefore potentially miss the plane to Brazil so a move to top team that need a central midfielder would be ideal.
First of all former manager, Jose Mourinho, now of Chelsea was very fond of Khedira in his Madrid days, using him regularly. He has already expressed his interest this summer, likewise have Premier League champions Manchester United.
