Liverpool ace rubbishes transfer rumours

Liverpool goalkeeper, Pepe Reina, has dismissed speculation that he is moving to Barcelona in the summer.
The Daily Express reports how the Spanish shot stopper could be Victor Valde’s replacement at the Nou Camp, after the current Barca number one revealed plans to leave at the end of the season.
Fatherly love
However, speculation of a switch from Anfield was increased, after Reina’s father, Miguel, told how his son would be, “delighted to return to Barcelona”.
After hearing his fathers comments, the 30 year old told the Spanish newspaper, Punto Pelota: “[A move to Barcelona] is not in my hands and the rumour mongering is part of that.
“They are such a great club, but I’m happy at Liverpool.”
Switch
Meanwhile, Valdes looks set for a switch to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United rumoured to be interested in securing his services.
The Gunners are hoping Thierry Henry’s friendship with the Spaniard will help force the move through.
Both Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson are underwhelmed by their current number one’s performances this season, with both Wojciech Szczesny and David De Gea making several errors throughout the campaign.
