Villa target wants Manchester United move

Heerenveen’s Alfred Finnbogason has admitted that Manchester United is the team he has dreamt of playing for since he was a boy, reports Talksport.

The striker moved to Heerenveen from Belgian side Lokeren in the summer, and has since scored 16 goals in 19 league games this season for the Dutch side.

Finnbogason has also previously enjoyed a brief six-month stint out on loan at Swedish champions Helsingborgs IF, where he enhanced his goals tally, scoring 12 in just 17 games and becoming their top goal scorer that season.

Ambition

Such performances and a clinical record has attracted the attention of many clubs, one of these being Aston Villa, who are rumoured to be interested in bringing the striker to Villa Park.

However it was amongst this speculation that the prolific striker spoke of his desire to one day play for the Old Trafford club.

The 24-year old expressed his feelings for the future to TuttoMercatoWeb, saying: “My biggest dream is to one day become a Manchester United player.

“This is the club I have been a fan of since I was five years old. I’m still a big fan of United.”

For now though, his dreams will have to wait, since RVP and co. seem to be doing an adequate job for the Red Devils at present.
