Hughton eyeing up Villa forward

Norwich City are set to rule out a move for Gary Hooper, and make a move on Aston Villa’s Andreas Weimann in the summer.
The Canaries are monitoring Weimann’s situation with the Villans after his contract talks stalled, according to the Daily Mail.
The 21 year old has scored 11 goals this season, and although he still has a year left on his current deal, the newspaper speculates that several Premier League clubs will be aware of his availability.

City boss, Chris Hughton is looking for a six yard box predator, and after failing with four bids for Celtic striker, Hooper, the Englishman now looks set to make Weimann his priority signing in the summer as he looks to strengthen his Norwich side.
The Austrian forward scored in Villa’s crucial 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers as they bid to avoid relegation to the Championship.
The win moved the Birmingham based club three points clear of the relegation places, with eight games still left to play.
The Villans play Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United in their remaining fixtures, so it is important for them to pick up as many points as they can against the sides around them.
Meanwhile, the Canaries are not out of the woods yet, as they are only seven points clear of the drop zone, after a run of one win in their last 13 league games.
