Fabregas never considered Old Trafford move
A lack of first team football was apparently a source of frustration for the 26-year-old Spanish international prompting United’s attempts to bring him back to the Premiere League.
Having started both the games Barcelona have played this season Fabregas clearly is now enjoying life at the Nou Camp under new manager Gerardo Martino, revealing a desire to spend the rest of his career there.
Speaking to Spanish TV station TVE, the midfielder had this to say” I have never said that I could go, nor have I talked to the president or the coach about it.
“What I don’t know is how this can be said to be true just because some journalist wrote it on Twitter.
“My dream is to stay here and succeed. I have a great desire to achieve even more and I am committed to this club and proud to be here.”
With Xavi reaching the end of his career it will only get better for Fabregas in terms of the game time he will get at the Catalan giants.
This will not be what United manager David Moyes will have been wanting to hear but he has never received any positive vibes from the Fabregas camp so the news probably won’t come as a surprise.
Reports have circled all summer about various targets the Premiere League champions have targeted including Real Madrid’s Luca Modric and Everton´s Marouane Fellaini, the latter being the subject of a £16m bid.
Everton rejected the bid instantly describing it as “derisory” considering the Toffees Paid £18m for the Belgian star in the first place and his value has only ever increased since.
But as for Luca Modric, he on the other hand according to reports is apparently eager for the Old Trafford outfit to come in for him but so far nothing concrete has materialized.
