Chelsea duo will not make Swansea tie

Petr Cech and John Terry will not be fit for Chelsea’s Capital One Cup semi-final first leg against Swansea City on Wednesday evening.
The club’s official website has confirmed the duo have not recovered from their respective injuries, but Terry could be available to play against Fulham in an under-21 fixture on Thursday.
The England defender has been out since the middle of November with knee ligament damage which he picked up in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. The injury occurred when Luis Suarez tripped and tumbled into the England defender’s leg.
Reports
Initial reports only ruled the defender out for a few weeks, but it’s been nearly two months since Terry’s last appearance for the Blues.
Cech has only been out for a short spell after picking up a groin injury in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park in their final game of the calendar year.
Ross Turnbull is expected to continue in goal for the Capital One Cup tie, whilst Branislav Ivanovic could partner Gary Cahill if David Luiz continues his role in midfield.
