Celtic man set for move away?
Celtic have revealed that they will allow young striker Tony Watt to leave Parkhead on a season long loan.
According to The Mirror, the news sparked interest from several clubs in Britain and abroad but the 19-year-old and his representatives have narrowed it down to two clubs.
The first is fellow Scottish side Aberdeen, managed by former Bristol City boss Derek McInnes who is looking to add young fresh talent to his squad before the Scottish transfer deadline closes at 11pm tonight.
The second club is Belgian outfit Lierse, a former club of Arouna Kone and Romelu Lukaku who finished 14th in the Belgian Premier League last season.
The prospect of moving abroad reportedly interests Watt and Lierse have put an excellent package together to clinch a deal.
The striker flew to Belgium this morning to meet the club’s officials and check out the facilities, making it even harder for Aberdeen to get him on their books.
Watt shot to stardom after scoring an 83rd minute winner for Celtic against Barcelona last November and has tipped for big things in the future, and has been scouted by big clubs around Europe.
But a week after his goal against Barca, he signed a new contract with The Bhoys until 2016. However, Neil Lennon is now willing to let him go to gain experience, before making him a first team regular at Parkhead next season.
Moreover, after impressing for Scotland’s youth sides, Watt was called up for Gordon Strachan’s senior squad in June but is yet to make his debut.
