Cardiff interested in wantaway Baggie
Odemwingie has been the subject of mass speculation regarding his future over the summer with several clubs linked to signing the Nigerian, and the Daily Mail state that a potential move to Al Nasr has been called off.
Cardiff have been alerted with Odemwingie’s failed attempt to join Al Nasr, and now are about to renew their interest in the forward.
Odemwingie’s move to Al Nasr took a wrong turn, as the club grew frustrated with West Brom’s ability to agree terms, as the Baggies had rejected two offers for the 32 year old.
Mackay is now looking to the Nigerian to add width to the side, and if a move for Odemwingie does not pan out, the Daily Mail state that the Scotsman is also looking at Ecuadorian winger Jefferson Montero.
The Baggies have their own transfer targets, as Steve Clarke looks set to reunite himself with winger Scott Sinclair, who wants away from his hell at Manchester City.
West Brom are hoping they can find a deal to send Odemwingie away from the Hawthorns to free up wages for Sinclair’s arrival, as negotiations continue between Sinclair and the Baggies.
