Blues ace reveals who he wants to manage Chelsea

Chelsea players are desperate to see Jose Mourinho return to Stamford Bridge after six years away according to Branislav Ivanovic, as reported by The Mirror.

The Real Madrid coach now looks set to leave the Bernabau following his failure in the Champions league semi-finals with the Spanish club for the third successive year, this time at the hands of Borussia Dortmund.

Despite no confirmation he will rejoin the Blues, Ivanovic believes it will happen.

He said: “Everyone at Chelsea cannot wait for the return of Mourinho.

“The players have had no confirmation that he is returning to Stamford Bridge, but we all want that to happen because it is one of the best coaches in the world.”

Current boss Rafael Benitez has invigorated the current squad that showed lots of promise in the early stages of the campaign, by guiding them to the brink of the Europa League final and a return to the top four.

Despite this Ivanovic believes the club would be a superpower under Mourinho.

“He is immensely respected by everyone and he has done well at the club in the past,” he added.

“With him we can be stronger as a club, it would be another dimension of Chelsea and is sure to become one of the main competitors for the title.”

Mourinho made rumours of a return even stronger in his post-match interview last night.

When questioned whether he would maybe have another assault on the Champions League with Madrid next season, he answered: “Maybe not.”

He also added: “I don’t know but I want to be where people love me to be.”
