Birmingham keen on United striker
Birmingham City are looking to another Premier League youngster on-loan, this time the Blues are looking at Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard.
Lingard is a highly-rated youngster at United, and Birmingham are looking to sign the youngster who spent time at Leicester last season, according to the Daily Mail.
The midfielder impressed the Red Devils coaches and staff during their pre-season tour of Australia and Japan, and also during Man Utd’s four-one win against Bolton in the U21 league.
Lingard and manager David Moyes are looking to get the youngster out on loan to gain some first team experience.
He spent spent a few months at Leicester City last season but only played a handful of times, and is looking to play more at Birmingham if he goes out on loan.
Manchester United may be more willing to allow Lingard to spend time at Birmingham, as their former trainee Ravel Morrison spent time at St Andrews for a season and gained some much needed experience.
Morrison’s loan made him develop as a player, and on Sunday started his first Premier League game for West Ham United.
Moyes will be hoping that Lingard can develop as a player at Birmingham like Morrison did last season.
