Arsenal opponents receive injury blow

Franck Ribery will not be available for Bayern Munich against Arsenal as the Frenchman has been ruled out through injury.
The Sun has reported that the winger picked up a ligament strain in his ankle after his side beat Fortuna Dusseldorf 3-2 on Saturday.
Key players missing
Arsenal could be handed a life-line in the competition, as Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jerome Boateng will also miss the clash, while Arjen Robben could also be forced to watch from the sidelines after his calf problem stopped him playing at the weekend.
The Gunners have to turn around a 3-1 deficit, and to make matters even worse, they have to do it away from home.
Even if they can score two goals to draw the tie, they will still go out, as Bayern managed to smash three away goals past a hapless Arsenal defence at the Emirates.
Deep squad
However, it is unlikely that Munich will be down to a scratch squad for the tie, as they have players such as Luiz Gustavo and Xherdan Shaqiri to call upon.
Ribery has been a driving force for the German giants this season – scoring six goals and setting up nine others in his 20 appearances in the Bundesliga this season.
And Shaqiri will be happy to snatch up any chance he has for first team action, as the Swiss international has only started six Bundesliga games all season.
