Arsenal look to Spanish wonderkid

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal have made £30million-valued Malaga youngster Isco their main summer transfer target.
It is thought that boss Arsene Wenger could have a potential £70million budget at his disposal following the results of the club’s financial health, and the need for quality to be added to the squad.
Trophy-less
The Gunners have gone eight seasons without a trophy and it seems as though the Arsenal board will look to put an end to it with Isco top of the list to help change the club’s fortunes.
Isco has been in lightning form this season for Malaga, which has seen the 20-year-old receive his first call up to the already competitive Spanish national side in February against Uruguay, and is one of the hottest young prospects about.
He scored Malaga’s first goal in the club’s crucial 2-0 victory over FC Porto on Wednesday night to qualify for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
Interest
Arsenal are likely to be one of several clubs in the running for the star and could face serious competition from other sides across the continent.
The North London side have previously dealt with the Andalusian outfit after securing the services of left-back Nacho Monreal during the January transfer window so this could give them an advantage.
Despite crashing out of Europe on Wednesday night, Arsenal impressed in Munich after a commanding 2-0 victory at the Allianz Arena and becoming the first side to defeat Bayern Munich at home this season.
Lukasz Fabianski, who replaced Wojciech Szczesny between the sticks, looks nailed on to keep his spot for the club’s trip to Swansea City on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta said he was hopeful of Fabianski sustaining a run in the side
He told the newspaper: “I would hope so.
“He did it against Bayern, so why can’t he do it in the following games?
“He was terrific mentally as there was a lot of pressure on him. He came in and was fantastic.”
