Arsenal and Liverpool suffer blow in transfer move
Talksport reveals how the former Udinese winger is determined to fight for his place at the Catalan side and would not be seeking a transfer away from the club.
When he first moved to Spain from the Italian club, for a fee in the region of £23million in the summer of 2011, Sanchez was one of the game’s most wanted talents, with interest from both Manchester United and Manchester City.
However, he has failed to make as much of an impact in La Liga, having only made 16 appearances for the club in the league this season.
In a twist, the Chilean is determined to make his stint at the Nou Camp work, after telling AS: “I am working every day to help the team.I am very happy here. I have a contract until 2016 and I want to stay.
“The squad is so good here, but everyone has been very welcoming.”
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the 24 year old for several weeks, as they look to mount a push for improvements on their current Premier League positions next season.
The Gunners are looking to challenge for the title, while the Reds are looking to make a bid to return to Champions League football.
